From knowledge over 30 years of Associate Professor Sanh La-ongsri, Ph.D. , the lecturer from the faculty of Agricultural Production, Department of horticulture Pomology branch, Maejo University. He is the expert in beverage crop such as Tea, Coffee including Cocoa. He studied, researched and developed Cocoa I.M.1 Variety (Authentic Thai Cocoa Variety) to be suitable for the geographical terrain and weather of Thailand, good quality cocoa beans, good quality products to support all farmers throughout Thailand. This includes the making of stable and sustainable career for Cocoa farmers in Thailand under the brand name “MarkRin Farm”.  

For knowledge regarding Cocoa species comprises love and passion in Chocolate, Associate Professor Dr. Sanh and his wife Kanokked La-ongsri studied, researched and developed a unique chocolate formula from Cocoa I.M.1 Variety from fermenting and drying to processing of Chocolate and cosmetic and skincare products  under the brand name “MarkRin Chocolate” .

The co-operation between MarkRin Farm and MarkRin Chocolate makes the operation between two companies beginning with planting sprouts from the certified species received from the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. The sprouts are given to 11 groups of farmers. After that, products from farmers are purchased to the fermentation process and Chocolate production. This can be called “Seedling to Chocolate”.
